What to Expect During and After a Headshot Session
during the session
During the session, we'll have multiple set-ups using different lighting, mood and backgrounds over the course of the shoot. We review the images throughout the shoot to ensure we’re getting the headshots you want.
The main thing is to enjoy it. I love meeting new clients and it’s a lot of fun getting the headshots we know will work for you. Even the most nervous or self-conscious client soon relaxes into it.
what to wear
In terms of what to wear, keep it simple.
For actors and performers, a V neck line generally works best. Bring a combination of light and dark tops, avoiding patterns, logos and stripes.
Hair and make-up
With make-up, again keep it simple - we go for a natural look.
There’ll be time to touch up and re-do hair as we go.
after the session
proofing
I'll personally curate your strongest headshots, and share these with you online. You'll also receive contact sheets for you and/or your agent to select headshots to be retouched.
retouching
After you make your selections, I retouch headshots of your choice, crop them for final use and Spotlight, and email them to you for approval.
Printing*
If you're happy, Visualeyes will print and post your headshots to you. Visualeyes keep your headshots on their system and you can order repros from them at any time.
Archiving
All your headshots are securely stored and archived on the cloud, should you wish to have additional headshots retouched in the future.
